Native Instruments has released Skanner, a free synthesizer produced by Stephan Schmitt NI REAKTOR.

Stephan Schmitt, the father of REAKTOR, wanted to make a Christmas gift with Skanner, REAKTOR synth to a powerful, built on a unique synthesis architecture.

Skanner ingeniously mixes sampler and synthesizer.

The "Scan" between the two oscillators of a sample allows for powerful low frequencies, while at higher frequencies the dominant force of the oscillators is modeled again with the waveform of the sample and the resulting sounds become so rough, dirty and highly unpredictable.

Skanner for Reaktor Reaktor Player 5 and 5 (requires version 5.6.2 or higher) is available as a free download from Native Instruments, just by entering a valid email address.
